Psychological counselling

Individual Psychology is based on the theories of the psychiatrist Alfred Adler (1870 – 1937). It comprehends the human being as a social being in his entirety of body, mind and soul. According to Individual Psychology, physical and psychological impairments can lead to feelings of inferiority and to attempts to compensate or overcompensate for these deficiencies in order to regain self-esteem.

The ” lifestyle ” developed in early childhood plays an important role in Individual Psychology. In this context, the young child develops its ” life plan ” through its position in relation to the environment, which leaves its mark on the whole course of the individual’s life.

Personal counselling is intended for people who experience difficulties and burdens in different areas and phases of life and are looking for help. The conversation helps to overcome current crises, to clarify problem areas and to identify possible solutions. Within psychological counselling, the person is given a deeper understanding of their personality and lifestyle. This enables them to see their life situation more clearly and to find out which life issues are important to them.

A fundamental goal of individual psychological counselling is to promote self-confidence, self-esteem and courage. As a result, the person develops a more positive attitude towards life and is enabled to seek and find new and more constructive ways for himself and in cohabitation.
